'Everybody likes everything these days. The whole world is a nerd.'
'Are you mad because other people like Star Wars? Are you mad because people like me like Star Wars?'
'Maybe.'

If you broke Elena's heart, Star Wars would spill out. So when she decides to queue outside her local cinema to see the new movie, she's expecting a celebration with crowds of people who love Han, Luke and Leia just as much as she does. What she's not expecting is to be last in a line of only three people; to have to pee into a collectible Star Wars soda cup behind a dumpster or to meet that unlikely someone who just might truly understand the way she feels.

This book is part of a handful of selected short reads specially produced for World Book Day, and thanks to Maximum Pop! Books I got the opportunity to win a copy of this charming little story by one of my favourite authors.

We meet Elena who has secretly only watched the original Star Wars trilogy, but despite this she wants to join in with other fans on the premiere of The Force Awakens where she learns the truth about waiting days outside a cinema to be one of the first people to see the most anticipated films, and that it's not all dressing up and partying- nope it's peeing in a cup behind a dumpster and not being able to wash properly for a few days.

If anything this short story has made me realise if I ever plan to go to a film premiere I need to be a little more prepared than Elena and her new friends!

The ending made me laugh and you've got the hint of romance looming in the air too- one of Rowell's brilliant touches that we find in each of her novels that has you all giddy and grinning to yourself.

A hilarious story depicting the struggles of being the ultimate Star Wars fan, and the moral error of judging people you don't know, as this book conveys well that anyone can be a fangirl/fanboy- Rowell always has the skill of conjuring up relatable stories!
