The Casual Vacancy by J.K Rowling

Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the facade is a town at war..." (Source)

Us by David Nicholls

"Douglas Petersen may be mild mannered, but behind his reserve lies a sense of humor that, against all odds, seduces beautiful Connie into a second date...and eventually into marriage. Now, almost three decades after their relationship first blossomed in London, they live more or less happily in the suburbs with their moody seventeen year-old son, Albie. Then Connie tells Douglas that she thinks she wants a divorce..." (Source)

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

Midnight in St Petersburg by Vanessa Bennett

Welcomed into the flamboyant Leman family, she is apprenticed into their violin-making workshop, and feels instantly at home in their bohemian circle of friends.
But revolution is in the air and, as society begins to fracture, she is forced to choose between following her heart or her head..." (Source)

The Little Coffee Shop of Kabul by Deborah Rodriguez

The Bad Beginning (A Series of Unfortunate Events #1) by Lemony Snicket

"Dear Reader, I'm sorry to say that the book you are holding in your hands is extremely unpleasant. It tells an unhappy tale about three very unlucky children. Even though they are charming and clever, the Baudelaire siblings lead lives filled with misery and woe. From the very first page of this book when the children are at the beach and receive terrible news, continuing on through the entire story, disaster lurks at their heels. One might say they are magnets for misfortune..." (Source)

City of Fallen Angels (Mortal Instruments #4) by Cassandra Clare (Source) I'm not giving a synopsis for this as it will contain spoilers!

Dark Places by Gillian Flynn

"Libby Day was just seven years old when her evidence put her fifteen year old brother behind bars.
Since then, she has been drifting. But when she is contacted by a group who are convinced of Ben's innocence, Libby starts to ask questions she never dared to before. Was the voice she heard her brother's? Ben was a misfit in their small town, but was he capable of murder? Are there secrets to uncover at the family farm or is Libby deluding herself because she wants her brother back?..." (Source)

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

"The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. The black sign, painted in white letters that hangs upon the gates, reads: Opens at Nightfall. Closes at Dawn.." (Source)

So there we have it, I guess this is somewhat my Summer To-Be-Read List. Whether I stick to it or not is another matter as you all know I'm a mood reader, so who knows! But let's just say these are the books I hope to read. All this talk of summer is making me excited for my holiday next month, less than four weeks to go yay!

I hope you're all having a great day and those doing exams- good luck I'm sure you'll do better than you give yourself credit for :-)
